Ladders are most used tool for climbing purposes in houses and industries. Ladders in houses are used to reach higher places which are otherwise impossible to reach. Ladders help in installing or changing bulbs or fans, cleaning cobwebs that cling on ceilings of your house, painting the walls and roofs of the house.

Ladders give access to roofs to perform installation and maintenance tasks and also help to put or remove cartons place in elevated positions in warehouses. Climbing and operating from a ladder is easy but fall from ladders and getting injured is the most common thing in houses and industries. The severity of injuries depend on the height person is fallen from, falling from a considerable height can be life threatening so all the necessary precautions should be taken. There are many ladder protection systems such as ladder dock and ladder tie off systems.

Ladder tie off systems are safety precaution which secures the ladder on the top and at the bottom. The tie off systems help in stability of the ladder and prevents from fall. The tie off system securely mounts the ladder on top of the roof platform and does not shift due to weight of the worker and provide ease in climbing up or coming down the ladder. There are different types of anchor straps, slings and cross arm straps which are used to tie the ladder. The ladder must be placed at least three feet above the roof surface and must be erected on a firm, solid ground.

Allows easy mobility for the worker
Minimizes the chances of worker slipping
Can be adjusted at variable lengths
Does not damage the roof surface
