The need to secure the Ladder while carrying out work

People have been using ladders to perform various tasks at home, offices, factories and warehouses for many years. They think working on ladders is cost effective, easy to use and gets the work done. But not all follow the necessary steps to secure the ladders while working. Falling from ladders and getting injured is one of the common occurrences in homes and industries. The injuries may be minor such as a slight bruise or serious like bone fractures and dislocation. It is therefore obligatory to tie off ladder on the top to secure the ladder firmly in its place and avoid risk from falling.

The ladder being exposed and open needs extra safety to make sure it is properly secured before someone climbs it. The most important step after ensuring that the ladder is placed correctly is to secure the top, this should be done by securing the top of the ladder with the structure you are climbing by a harness or rope. To use tie off ladder prevents the ladder to move from its position, does not make the ladder sway sideways when there is sudden change in pressure applied. There are other safety tools that can be used such as ladder docks and ladder standoff. These safety measures do not damage the roof or wall surfaces but give stability and access to reach part of the house which is otherwise not possible.

Advantages:

Secures the top of the ladder into place
Prevents the ladder to sway sideways
Help person to carry out work without the risk of falling
Gives extra protection and mobility
